The Scripture provides us a clear explanation about the will of God on War, Disease, Death and yes, even Coronavirus.
Yes, the God of the Bible sent illnesses and pestilences to wicked people and Jesus promises there will be plagues BUT the issue is that the standard we have of God nowadays is according to our own «safety and wellbeing». This is my first english post! And it is not because I want to attract a broader audience to my blog, but I really like to express myself in this language. Also, I want to celebrate my first visits from the US and the fact that the Lord is SOVEREIGN in sickness and disease.
I want to prove you through Scripture that THERE ARE NOT MAVERICK MOLECULES IN THE UNIVERSE.
I’m probably talking to a christian audience now, the only way you could probably find this post was by googling: «Bible + Coronavirus» or «God + disease».
Thing is you gotta be humble. Stop believing you know everything. That’s actually one form of repentance. And… YES I know you’re at panic and facing a terrible situation, but this will give you peace. At the beginning It is difficult to process, at least for me it was, the whole theological concept of God being sovereign over His creation. It took me at least 3 years to accept and understand SOVEREIGN GRACE, and actually I don´t fully understand it yet (and I never will). I think the best way to understand such a deep theological concept, specially in the middle of «COVID-19 times» is by making a simple chat between a nowadays so-called «christian» and God himself.
**** I cannot believe you control everything in our lives!! You are not always there, that’s creepy!! BTW you are not so great to control every single thing in the universe and work it out as your «plan»!!
God:
“A man’s steps are from the Lord; how then can man understand his way?” – Proverbs 20:24
“Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.» – Proverbs 19:21
“The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord.” – Proverbs 16:33

****** Well, ok, I got it… But I don’t believe you can create diseases, you are a good GOD, and I mean «good» by my own standard!! I believe you didn’t even know there was a coronavirus, it was a total surprise to you!!

«I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.» – Deutoronomy 32:39
» There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.» – Luke 21:11
» For from him and through him and to him are ALL things.» – Romans 11:36

****** Yeah, anyways… whatever, that’s not what my pastor says, at least I am the one who lives my christian life and not you!
God:

«For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.» – Ephesians 2:10
«For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.» – Philippians 2:13
Even if God is not causing COVID19, He is in TOTAL control of it and will use it for His good purpose. Now, this is actually a sistematic doctrine.
I’m not using random verses of the Bible to prove that God is in control. Better than telling you the story of Job or why was Satan asking Jesus to sift Peter is to give you this whole T.U.L.I.P verse sheet, please before calling me a calvinist (I know its usually a negative term) for believing humanity deserves punishment and that all bad things that are going on right now are also sent by God´s wrath and judgement and that Satan is being used by God, remember that inside TULIP there’s also the believe that we are all gonna die, we are all going to be judged for what we did BUT God loves us so much He sent Jesus to pay for our sins and show us his mercy and love, even when we do not deserve it. This is not calvinism, this is BIBLEISM, it will give you peace in the middle of the disease. Please examine TULIP with your own bible to see if this doctrine of «A totally sovereign but also full of grace God» makes sense to you.
And no, we don´t support the «If God is sovereing then we don’t have to pray or share the gospel» We believe in both men’s responsibility and the Sovereignty of God, Lord of Heavens and Earth, we accept both things as they are biblical and they don’t opose to each other, it may be a dilemma now for you but there are people better than me to explain this whole issue, people like John Piper, John MacArthur or Paul Washer. Go ahead truth seeker, google it.
